Elvaston Place in London is one of Miriam Dominguez Guerra's first projects. Maintaining the original layout, kitchen and white walls, she updated the interiors with walnut flooring and her trademark unexpected details. A small, dark bathroom was clad in wood, its tilted frosted glass window designed to catch the light from a corridor skylight. In another, a marble walk-in shower is divided by a glass partition to accommodate two people. A walk-in closet was added to the main bedroom and a freestanding stone fireplace was designed as a centerpiece for the living room.
