Flats

An apartment housed in an early 20th century property in central Milan. Transforming three existing walls and a large expanse of open space into a stylish and comfortable family residence was a labour of love. Miriam Dominguez Guerra designed every detail of this beautifully hand- crafted flat, from stairs, to doors, cupboards, shelving, bathrooms and kitchen. An extraordinary concrete sculpture, the "impossible staircase." winds its way up to the terrace floor and a light flooded exercise room, for which the original conservatory had to be moved, a challenge in itself. An extraordinary team completed the entire project in just one year and five months.
