Flats

A bright penthouse on two floors at the top of a stucco-fronted Victorian terraced house. A large skylight floods the entire space with natural light and a simple walnut wood staircase connects the floors, keeping the home open and airy. Entrance is via a long, wide corridor with double height ceiling, leading to a bright and impressive entertaining area. An imposing fireplace of tinted sand and concrete extends from floor to ceiling and wall-to-wall, incorporating an expansive shelf, to be used either for seating or display. Each bathroom was treated differently, with eclectic features such as bespoke walnut cabinets, salvage door handles and stone hand basins. For the cloakroom, Miriam Dominguez Guerra created “Invisible”, the purest minimalist basin, just 15cm high. Made from a single piece of Pompei Verzoet natural stone, four fine grooves trace the way for water to run.
